The Ultimate 4-in-1 Solution for Raising Chicks
Why not get everything you need in one bundle? Here is everything you need to be ready for your new arrivals, whether you hatch them or buy them from a hatchery — the Tetuga Chicken Brooder Box for Chick Starter Kit. With a price tag of $105.99, this 4-in-1 bundle has features that’ll make you wonder how you got by without it.
What’s Included
First, let’s discuss what you get in this 4-in-1 brooder set. We’re talking about a chick brooder playpen, a chicken brooder heating plate, a pad, a chicken feeder, a chicken waterer, a storage bag, and even 3 pegs for outdoor use.
- The heating plate is safer than a bare bulb and uses less energy. This one is on the small side, but great for 8-10 chicks.
- The pad adds an extra layer of protection for the bottom of the pen and helps with cleanup. Now, this particular pad is thin, so it helps with cleanup while not bringing a noticeable increase in absorbency.
- The feeder and waterer are standard plastic chick feeders, and, again, small in size.
- The bag is for storing the brooder once it is folded up to the size of a paper plate. Instructions included.
- 3 pegs to tie down the brooder outside.
Versatility: Indoors, Outdoors
One of the coolest things about this brooder is its versatility. Whether you’re setting up indoors or letting your chicks enjoy some fresh air in the yard, this brooder’s got you covered. The mesh design ensures your chicks won’t make a break for it, and the dual-zippered opening makes it easy to check on them without causing a ruckus.
Something to remember if you decide to keep your brooder outside for any length of time is that the material that the brooder is made of is Oxford cloth, light and fairly thin material, so while your indoor pets are inclined to obey your rules, outside animals like raccoons, foxes, and the neighbor’s dog probably won’t be as accommodating.
Easy Cleaning: Because Nobody Likes a Mess
Let’s face it, chicks can be messy. But cleaning up after them doesn’t have to be a chore. The brooder is made of high-quality Oxford cloth that’s a breeze to clean. Just rinse it off, and you’re good to go. And that heating plate? It comes with a removable acrylic cover that makes cleaning easy.
Setup and Storage
If you’re like me, you want easy things to set up and store away. Well, Tetuga’s got our backs. This brooder pops up in seconds, thanks to its built-in frame. And when it’s time to pack up, it folds down just as quickly into its storage bag. Plus, it comes with 3 ground pegs for those outdoor adventures.
You will want to take your time to learn how to fold it properly, as some have struggled.
Suitable for a Small Number of Poultry
Whether you’re raising chicks, ducklings, or even goslings, this brooder is a one-size-fits-all solution. The heating plate mimics the warmth of a mother hen, making it a cozy haven for your little ones.
The product details of this brooder say that you can brood 15 chicks in this unit. Yes, you can, but not comfortably. 15 chicks can be started in this brooder, but by the time they are 6 weeks old, there would be pure chaos in it.
My personal opinion is that six chicks would be fine. 12 would be pushing it.

“This is a nice sized brooder for O would suggest 10 baby chicks at most, depending on when you move them out to a larger enclosure. I could see it working well for 15 standard sized chicks for the first week, but beyond that I’d expect issues with overcrowding based on my experience. I have a few bones to pick with this brooder but overall it can be a good budget option. I like that it’s fully enclosed and has a mesh ceiling. I wish it had some mesh side panels as well. The flooring thing is a neat idea but doesn’t go all the way to the edges. I’d still use my own on top of it but a great thing to have, I just wish it went all the way to the very edge of the floor and ideally a tiny bit up the side as well. I wouldn’t really call it a pad, as it has no cushion to it. The zipper isn’t a double zipper, so it could be trickier to close. I found it impossible to fold back up despite the instructions. After 15 minutes straight I gave up. It did withstand my abuse without breaking. If it’s showing a good value then jump on it. Not my dream brooder but an okay option.”

“Used this for my four chicks in the garage and it was super easy to clean once they moved to the coop! Love that it collapses down for storage. Highly recommend.”

So, is this Tetuga Chicken Brooder Box worth the $105.99? Given its versatility, ease of use, and the sheer number of items included in the bundle, I’d say it’s a yes.
