“So used this for about a 7 hatches. At first it was great and got about a 90% hatch rate. On hatch number 4 it got down to 80% on hatch six it was just 40% hatch rate. On this last batch I had only one egg hatch. I ended up getting about 50% hatch from it but they all started hatching on day 26 which is very late and they seem a little on the weak side. This is the first time I’ve ever had to assist weak chicks in hatching because they couldn’t full break the membrane. Although the thermostat read 38 degrees Celsius it must have been considerably lower than that temp as they all hatched so late. I’m going to have to buy an external thermostat to make sure the incubator is at the correct temperature. But the hatch rate is still low. Very disappointed.”

“could not bring myself to buy a $180 dollar nice incubator so I went cheap and bought a temp/humidity thermometer to put in there. So far we have had 3 hatch looking great with a few more pipped. One thing I did not realize, either because the directions are confusing or I didn’t read it well enough, the grate on the top is removed for hatch and you just use the bottom grate. Also, I read a review that they had to add a crap ton of water and turn the temp all the way up for hatch to keep humidity/temp. This was accurate for me too. I used a syringe/needle to add water through the vent hole and just angled it towards the incubator side so i wouldn’t get the electronics. Overall i think its a good cheap incubating option but i would buy something to monitor the humidity and temp because i definitely had to adjust a lot to get to where i needed to be.”

Conclusion

As we conclude our objective review of the Magicfly Digital Mini incubator, it is evident that it offers a range of features catering to small-scale poultry lovers. While it promises user-friendliness and compact design, it does require regular monitoring to achieve the desired results.

Whether it aligns with your needs would depend on your individual preferences and the scale of your poultry project. It is a viable option for those venturing into poultry hatching, offering a balance between functionality and ease of use. If you are interested in this starter incubator, Get yours here.
